Reverend Quan Stewart
A visionary, servant, and God-lead Undershepherd, our Pastor is a native of Bennettsville, South Carolina. Reverend Quan Stewart is a 2003 graduate of Marlboro County High School in Bennettsville, South Carolina and a 2007 Graduate of Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina. He holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology. He is currently attending North Carolina Theological Seminary to obtain the Masters of Theology.
A member of Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Bennettsville, South Carolina since birth, he preached his initial sermon on September 06, 2003 and ordained by the Berea Baptist Association on October 16, 2005. He served as an associate minister of Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church and Joshua Missionary Baptist Church in Dalzell, South Carolina. One of the highest honors God could bestow upon Reverend Stewart was affirmed on January 27, 2010 when he was called to pastor the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Bolivia, North Carolina. He is a member of the Middle District Missionary Baptist Association headquartered in Burgaw, NC. Our pastor is also a General Board member of the General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.
Many honors to preach, teach, and share the Word of God have been bestowed on Reverend Stewart. These honors include preaching for the 41st Annual Alexander/Pegues Ministers Conference held at Shaw University by the Shaw University Divinity School. He has also preached many revivals and worship experiences throughout South and North Carolina. He has presented at numerous men’s conferences and other ministry training.
Reverend Stewart served as the Vice-President of the United Community Fellowship Churches, a union of six interdenominational churches. He is a member of many civic and service organizations to include Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and is a Silver Life Member of the NAACP.
